Kelsey Lauritano is an American mezzo-soprano of Japanese heritage, acclaimed by The New York Times as "astounding" and by Bachtrack as "definitely a singer to watch." A current ensemble member at Oper Frankfurt, her 26/27 season includes role debuts as Teodata in Händel's Flavio and Nicoletta in Prokofiev's The Love for Three Oranges, alongside a return as Dorabella in Mozart's Così fan tutte. She makes her house debut at La Monnaie/De Munt in Brussels in the European premiere of Huang Ruo's M. Butterfly. On the concert stage, she presents a mainstage Liederabend, "Awakenings," at Oper Frankfurt, and joins tenor Matthew Swensen and pianist Brian Zeger for the MITO SettembreMusica festival in Milan and Turin. Recent highlights include her debut as Erika in Barber's Vanessa with Heartbeat Opera, which landed on the New York Times' "Best Classical Music and Opera of 2026" list, alongside house debuts at Zürich Opera and Bayerische Staatsoper, and her role debut as Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus at Opera Theatre of St. Louis.
